Privacy

We collect as little as possible, and we don’t sell your data. Here’s exactly what happens.
Analytics without cookies
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are useful. It doesn’t track you across the web, doesn’t use cookies, and doesn’t build a profile of you — which is also why you won’t see a cookie banner.
The picker and calculator
The picker and calculator run in your browser. Your answers and figures live in the page’s web address so you can share or bookmark a result — they’re not stored on our servers.
Email, if you choose to join
If you give us your email for the checklist or updates, we store your address and the one thing you tell us — roughly when you’re mandated — so we can send relevant updates. We use double opt-in: you’ll get a confirmation link, and nothing more is sent until you click it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent. Just reply to any of our emails. We keep your details only for as long as you want to hear from us.
Affiliate links
When you click through to a software provider, that provider sets its own cookies and privacy terms once you’re on their site. We pass a simple tag so we can see which recommendations are useful — never your personal details.
